How To Set Up A YouTube Channel For Your Business
YouTube is not only one of the most popular social media platforms, it is also one of the most used websites. Collectively, users watch 1 billion hours of content a day or 46,000 years of content annually. If you’re already creating videos for your business, you should be publishing them on YouTube. Not only will this make it easy to publish video to your site, it will also increase your visibility.
Step 1: Open a Google Account
Even if you already have a personal Google account, you may like to create a separate one just for business purposes. This can give you a new email address or you can link the account to a current email you associate with your business.
Step 2: Create a YouTube Channel
Head to YouTube and click on your avatar in the top right corner. Select “My channel” from the options that appear.
Instead of inputting your name, choose “Use business or other name.”
Step 3: Customize Your Channel
Click the “Customize Channel” button to complete your profile.
The first thing you’ll want to do is add images. You’ll need both a channel cover photo (which you can upload by clicking “Add channel art”) and a profile picture (find the option to add this under “About”).
Next, you need to write a description about your channel, where you can include a link to your website (make it unique to measure where traffic is coming from). You can also provide users with an email address for business inquiries and specify your location.
If you already have videos, start uploading them to your channel immediately. Otherwise, begin planning how you can create video content that will shows off your brand value and help users feel more connected to your business.
